Keauhou Place Condos Invest in Recreation Deck Playground for Residents
As populations grow, cities continue to look for new ways to cope with less space without sacrificing access to recreational opportunities. So, as open land spaces become unavailable to set aside for more parks and playgrounds, people are looking up for new solutions to the land scarcity issue. Incorporating recreation decks onto the upper levels of new building designs is proving to be one successful solution.
Parks and playgrounds have been proven to enhance feelings of community and quality of life and numerous studies are showing that families are more likely to invest in homes and neighborhoods that have close access to recreational opportunities. Most condos already plan for recreation decks and including a playground into the design is a wise way to increase value for the space, are convenient for resident families, and can relieve congestion to other community public parks.
IPR Hawaii is proud to showcase this playground project for the Keauhou Place condominium in Honolulu’s Kaka’ako district, which we installed over the summer of 2017. Families of this building can not only enjoy swimming and BBQ facilities but also have a safe place for their children to play and exercise outdoors while parents relax and supervise nearby.
